If people took responsibility to protect this culture then partying could at least start pointing back in the direction of where it once was. At the moment, it's continuing the wrong way and it's saddening. I 100% agree with you, all 'we' can do is continue on in support of MUSIC. It's increasingly difficult to change peoples attitudes when less people care about the tunes and more care about being 'wasted'

I don't care about Muzza's or ravers in particular as long as they stay responsible and take their drugs within reasonable limits. By reasonable I mean where one is not compelled to cause violence or overdose due to over indulgence.

If people can understand that the reason these festivals exist is because 'music brings us together' then half the battle is won in turning this around.

music + people = good times

there is no other reason why i love the scene but this.....i see something in it myself that the genral crowd dont. Remember there are people from all walks of life that go to event like summerdayze etc. therefore you get a mixed crowd and everyone's idea of the events means something different to each individual.

true, true.. but to those regular event attendee's, having roided up muzztrons so friggin tanked that they burst from their shirts (thats the only explanation i can come up with), coking their way around the place and spin flexing into people on the dancefloors of something like summadayze... i dunno, it just feels unwanted and a stain on the general partying scene.

how would they feel if we all went into their gyms and took control of the benchpress? pretty much the same i'm guessing.

same goes for overdosing nobs... a lot of people do drugs recreationally and yes, it's a stupid thing to do to your body but 90% of those recreational users do it as sensibly as you can hope to... it's that last 10% that make the headlines though and put a massive black mark on an otherwise harmless and fun scene of happy go lucky people who are just there to enjoy a type of music they can't get their fill of elsewhere.

to be honest guys muzzas were the minority at this party
compared to defcon where they were everywhere i think fluro yobbo's outweighed muzza's 1000 to 1

If the idea of a having a good time is to be irresponsible and act like a en idiot then that reflects badly on the scene as a WHOLE. When complete stupidity makes headlines then the majority of people who act accordingly will have these events taken away from them!

People can be from all walks of life dude but the commonality of attending these festivals is music. If that was the case then these events should mean the SAME to all of us. We should protect the scene by acting appropriately. The people who don't get that, the minority, are killing the very idea of music bringing people together.

PLUR, a once common theme / ideal amongst dance festival attendees is well and truly dead!
