I passed by the same location last night after coming back from a bar, I was suprised to see that the line-up kinda short. When the WoW expac dropped, there were 350+ in line at that one location |

Other than that, there isn't much difference from 07, except that in Dynasty, you can actually play all NHL & AHL games and customize all AHL lines as well. Pretty neat stuff for hardcore NHL fans.
The new deke function is alright, but nothing spectacular. I still haven't mastered the controls and pretty much end up loosing the puck all the time.
The only negative difference from last year is the fights SUCK! It's pretty much like an arcade fight where there are about 500 punches thrown in like 5 seconds. Definitely not as good as last years. |
the game is definately more realistic then past NHL games....actual plays are needed to score goals...not just the same little moves over and over again. I won't start my Dynasty league until the season begins....I play game for game with my NHL team |

yeah, i never got a chance to play 07 but i heard it was really good, if 07 is the same as 08 i will just save myself some money and buy 07 instead |

Off topic, but is the PS3 considered a complete failure yet, or is Sony still claiming it'll come out on top? It's been a while since it was released, and I still don't see/hear of any really good games for it. Besides Blu-Ray movies, what are the chumps who bought the PS3 playing on it? |
The truth is that it's too early to tell. If you're looking strictly at sales figures then the PS3 is seriously behind the 360 and Wii. The thing is though, Sony released the PS3 with the intention of it having a longer than average lifespan so naturally the first year to 2 years would show a slower adoption rate than a mass-market priced console like the Wii.
In my opinion though, the PS3 will be nowhere near as successful as the PS2 or even the PS1 for that matter. The Wii just has too much momentum to let the PS3 explode onto the market. |

Video games are like any other type of fantasy, whether its a sporting event, piece of literature, concert, album...etc.People just want the maximum time to get into the fantasy and fully experience it.
Fact is, life can be boring, and this is an easy/cheap form of escapism. Humans are a point in history where they can create immursive 3-D worlds with rich characters, story lines, great music, and ACTION, which just connot be experienced through any other conventional means.

How is a sporting event, a piece of literature, a concert, or an album a "fantasy"? lol
Life can be boring you're right, so go out and do something, instead of barracading yourself inside playing a video game for hours on end, pretending.
