He said literature, not fiction novels, regardless of what he meant, he didn't say it.

I never said that you had to be alone when playing this game, you could be with a bunch of friends playing the game for hours and hours, it's still the same thing to me. Obviously not every single person that has this game plays for hours and hours on end, but I can make a good assumption that people who wait in line for the game do this.

Also, reading a book, fiction or not fiction, is far better than playing a video game. Instead of the visuals being on a screen which you look at, when reading, you have to make up the visuals in your head from what you're reading. It requires more brain power to make up visuals in your head, than to just look at a picture on a screen. Reading is far better than playing a video game.

Haha, says the guy who is the human equivilant of Barney Gumble at any TA event. This is the type of guy you would find in the nearest ditch passed out after any party with his shoes tied together and a wedgie so far up his ass he would need a balloon donut for the next few weeks. lol

Didn't bother to read any of the previous posts....

I used to WORSHIP RPG games FINALY FANTASY FTW!!!!!(3- 10)

I got distracted by Vag...

though if I didn't I can't fathom anything else distracting me from this video game. Nowadays, they are so interactive/visually stimulating/mentally challanging/ and the 'intraweb' has linked all the gamers together!!!!! WHO NEEDS GIRLS!!!!!!!

Im over it now but I empathize with the HARDCORE gamers. They are no different than the SUPERFANS of their respective sports/ favourite teams.

Years ago we respected Grand Masters of Chess....in another few decades we will honour the Grand Masters of HALO 25!!!!!

/end of my thoughts (I hope they are grossly exagerated)

I dont see a problem with video games. To me its like watching tv but more interactive. Its like bieng a part of the movie. For me personaly games like HELO 3 dont do anything, I just dont like fantasy. On the other hand a nice Online First Person Shooter is a great way to relax and take your mind off School / Work.

lol Woah, going straight to put downs now huh? The lowest form of debate ever haha. I'm surprised you didn't use the usual "Yeah whatever" phrase as a come back instead lol.

Video games plus Rodrico equals a touchy subject I guess lol.

I don't understand why there is so much hostility towards video gamers? It is just a leisure activity, like anything else. Blockbuster video games, such as the likes of Halo 3, BioShock, and etc, rival and superceed the quality of stories and character development from some of the best films out there today. But again, I come back to the point that they are just leisure activities. Just because one is a gamer, does not make that one a social recluse. The fanaticism displayed by those who line up to get a copy of that one special game is in itself a social activity, as it tends to cater and draw a specific kind of crowd itself, and these people have something in common that they are sharing at that time. Its really as simple as that. If one does not understand it, well, that makes it no less 'right' nor 'normal'. I don't get what's the big deal really...

Gamers are the reason we have global warming, wars, world hunger, and poorly built cars.

I am obviously just kidding so don't flip out people lol.

I think that's a pretty fair assumption.

I did.

I guess it depends on the person. Some people have been waiting for 3 years for it, and they'll get it as soon as possible (which was midnight).

People who just like to go for the fun of it, they usually have cameras, activities and set up, it's fun to go there and talk to people who are nice and into the same as you and won't call you out and be like "your a ******."

When I was there though, there was all kinds of people, sketchy black gangsters, huge nerds, regular chilling adults, young kids. All there for the same reason and just having a good time.
