That is how you pronounce (according to wiki). I thought it was poo-teen too.

Poutine is easily the greatest contribution Quebec has ever made to the world at large.

Pro Tip... try adding choped, raw, white onion to your poutine for a new and exciting flavour enhancement.

It is so damn bad for you, but I love it. You can get it at New York Fries... or at least the NYF here sells them.

I always pronounced it poo-teen and that's how I was taught when I first moved here. But since you live in Ontario, and Ontario for some reason is more Canadian than the rest of Canada (I've never heard anyone from another part of Canada say 'aboat'), you may be right.

Poutine is okay I guess, though I still would rather have mashed potatoes with cheese and gravy on top.

HOLY NEW YORK FRIES!!!

That was my favorite place ever when I lived in canada :( Thanks for that as soon as I saw the name a flood of classic memories came :)
