hahaha, i was once in a gondola going up a ski hill with some quebecers; they were making fun of their american friend saying "poo-teen"... quite funny... "poooooooo-teeeeeeen" (+southern accent).
Please don't draw out the vowels... I tried to type it phonetically but ended up writing pou-tine...

I'm pretty sure I've been there, but if that was indeed the place I was thinking of, then I was extremely drunk every single time I went, which makes my memory very fuzzy. But those street names pretty much confirm it, and I must say that is indeed pretty damn good poutine (as far as my drunken perception could tell). |
