I find it pretty great, but it's been getting iffy reviews.
I suppose people are comparing it to the atmosphere created by Far Away Trains Passing By and A Strangely Isolated Place, and it's not quite the same. For me, the first two were a sort of a gaze into the mystical and sophisticated unknown, but Goodbye feels a little bit more simplistic in its patterns. |

True, the third album was quite simplistic IMO. The sound was great but the melodies sometimes seemed generic and without direction. If only he could use his sublime synth leads to create the emotional melodies of the previous albums...
Unfortunately i don't have any favorite EDM albums for 2007, but as far as non-EDM goes things were great...:

Caspian- The four trees
Hammock- Raising your voice, trying to stop an echo
