perhaps but without know someone's financial background who are we to question their financial decisions? She needs a car so she bought a nice car with good mileage, it's not like she went out and got an uber expensive car that's bad for the environment and eats up tons of gas. |

I wont be going out for quite sometime....not parties or anywhere else for that matter. All holidays and birthdays are cancelled. I can hardly afford the payments but it had to be done.
|
But if she's happy and not compromising her basic needs, more power to her. |

we don't know specifics she just said she won't go out that much...we all have different priorities. Hypothetically saving money might trump going out. |

Well the case is this. I can afford the car but will have to make some sacrifices to make sure all payments are made on time etc. I get paid bi-weekly so it might be a little difficult but I will do my best. Plus I want to pay it off as fast as possible so any extra money that I would have saved or used for recreational purposes is going into the car.
My son is the only one that will get any Christmas or Birthday gifts because he is a child and he simply does not understand, and I wouldnt want to make him suffer due to my financial situation. I have a child and a somewhat long commute to work (Queens to Long Island) and I would much rather pay for a new car than pour all of my hard earned money into the Long Island railroad and MTA everday which I will never get back.
If I had enough money to get a decent used car from a personal seller I would have but I didn't. Plus I would rather not go from one POS to another. Logical no?
So for now essentials only till I make some headway on paying thing this off. Meaning just rent, food, gas, and utilities. In the long run I will save money on gas at least.
