LOL NO WAY!!!! basically you are renting a car for 2 years

dings in doors, cracks in glass, all that good stuff you have to pay for and then turn the car over after the 2 years and have nothing to show for it. In the city I would think leasing is the worst choice a person could make. If you live in a more rural area and are into getting a nice car every 2 years then go for it.

Oh yea don't forget the charge for milage on the car (you ually only get 10,000 to 15,000 a year anything over that and its like a $.25 charge per mile, sure adds up)

read your lease carefully, some let you turn your car in for no penalty if your leasing a new car. You can also buy insurance for the dings and all that other stuff. plus, reasonable wear and tear is no cost to you. I think minor scratches and such are not something you will need to worry about. And the mileage thing is no problem if you live in a city. i drive about 8 - 9 thousand miles a year, and most of that is to vermont in the winter.

Fibonacci
Yaris is a great car, great gas mileage, one of the most practical cars on the market. And FYI, one is more likely to get better financing with a new car than pre-owned. And with a kid, I wouldn't take any chances.

My hats off to you! I'm doing the reverse commute too... in a jeep grand cherokee. Costs me more than $100/week in gas. :(

My 97 civic does $22-24 every two weeks. Wish I had a Prius where i can do $25 a month.
