^^ sounds like you clearly thought this through. makes good sense.

i myself would have bought new (or certified preowned) as well.

also since this is a brand new car/latest model, im sure safety standards are up to par so im sure this will be better for you and your family overall.

jeez why does everything in this forum have to turn into some type of back-and-forth discussion.

Personally Z has always impressed me because she puts her priorities and son/family first, so I dont see ANYTHING stupid with buying a car that works and is safe for these reasons.

When I bought my '02 Altima, I was overwhelmed with payments. If I went back in time, I would've bought something within the $5-10,000 area.

Good for you Z, hope it works for you.

First off what good car can you find for $5,000 - $10,000 (keeping in mind she has to drive to and from work everyday and has the added responsabilty of a child to drive around and care for)

Second just because you rushed and got a brand new car at a young age and didn't think it through does not mean she did the same

Third the Yaris has been on the market for a couple of years and has the backing of the Toyota name all good reasons for her to buy the car she did

Way to go Z!!!!! I have a 2004 Toyota Solera that I have beaten to hell and back and it is still such a great car.

Who rushed? Are you sure you're talking about me? No one rushed. This was well thought out with my parents. They originally were going to help me with payments, but then down the road they thought I should take responsibility and pay for my own car. The Car accident I had back in March ironically helped me with my financial situation as the car was fully paid off. I am now just paying for insurance.

Cool car, very euro. I have a classic Real mini from england, people always ask where the hampsters are (for power)..I thinks its smaller than your car....great choice, esp. for City use,etc...sweet..just watch out for the semi trailers!.good luck with it, very wise choice
