| hey dont be knockin halifax :P my home town. Its a good city to party every sunday 20$ a 4 liter pitcher of beer and then head to the dome 1 drinks all night and my uncle owns a nightclub there last call is at 4 dont know how he does it and dj dan, david morales and chris lake have spun there. |

so here's an early early review for Circa, went there tried to get in, one bouncer said it's 21+ all the other bouncers said 19+ then Peter Gatien himself said it's 21+ so we couldn't get in cause one of my friend (SWFT) couldn't get in, so we just stood outside infront of the club while dozens of hot ladies walked by us lining up for the club. The Girl to guy ratio was really good considering that 1 out of 5 girls were ugly, and half the guys there were gay. So there was a lot more straight girls than straight guys.
The promoters, and bouncers were all nice people. Peter Gatien seem really stressed though, who wouldn't be though, on opening night.
But it's gonna be 19+ starting next week I believe, it's just that way tonight probably to avoid trouble from cops. Since there was a white van with 5 police officers parked right by the entrance. |

:( hyped myself way too much to get turned away....fcuking fcuk. meh
dress code? well when Invasionmix called ahead i believe they said to "Dress Hip". When we got there seemed 80-90% of the crowd dressed to impress, girls in nice dresses and . the other 10% or so Randomized their outfit (cat masks, funky hair, funky patterns, WINGS, and a few ppl with some rave-esque clothing). ID checkers and other staff were dressed in nice suits while (im assuming promoters) a few staff members dressed for randomness (dude with golden staff thing that escorted you to the club entrance......etc.)
oh yea, when u get there, theres the club and club entrance + vip entrance...but further down john street is a parking lot with wonderland like ques. ppl stood in this area to get IDed and what not, then a guy came and took groups of 4 or so to teh actual club entrance (dunno what happens from there...). Around 1130ish the line was moving fast. Id say 10 min wait times. not bad :)

i thought that was you as i walked by. the Guy with the "Golden Staff" was Rolyn Chambers. one of the host. im just blown away. and shocked i made it out alive tonite.. some how my head doesn't hurt. despite bottle service all night long in the mirror ballroom... dunno how many bottles of Alize i drank.. but im glad i wasn't the one paying for em hehe
first half of the night i was kicking myself for coming b/c i was lost and turned around serparated from my group in unfamiliar terriroty. the Sound was amazing. the Staff were courteous and friendly. and i think we finally got kicked outta the mirror ball room around 4 am was well worth the 15 bucks

| I went last night, im not sure if this is the right thread but i dont care, and it was amaazzzingg. its huge! i was blown away. I loved all the little features CIrca had, the bunny rabbit room, the statues to draw on, all the different rooms and stages, the crazy wall stuff... i dont know i was amazed. There was always room to dance and sooo many hidden areas! guest list lineup was amazing, we got in in less than 15 minutes. And then we convinced the bouncers to let us go view the construction upstairs, the room upstairs is gonna be hot when it finally opens. i had an amazing night, i still love the guv, but circa has a new place in my heart ;) |
