The old one looks much better.
I think ill be more than happy sticking with my Behringer BCF. |
Agreed. It looks really really really cheap and tacky. ty long knobs, horrible colour scheme, looks plastic, terrible faders etc.
Old one looks tons better from the picture.
From what you guys are saying though if it's going to be that expensive I don't see what the point is. Seems like a total ripoff for some Sasha wannabes. |

lets hope it doesn't have the dodgy m-audio firewire 410 chipset in it, I think that was the sound card for the mk1. and i don't know about the looks, i kinda liked the mk2 better. i'm sure lots of people will buy it, but i don't know, it was custom designed by sasha for sasha so chances are if you'll be able to afford this thing, you could probably get something else custom designed for not much more money...
it all depends on the price, but its definately a step in the right direction for ableton djs! |

I too think they should release that older version that has better knobs. |
Agreed. The faders seem a little long too. Great for long, smooth mixes, but prevents you from being able to do quick tricks. |

But Zero 4 is missing the clip launch buttons. |

| Seems like there's never gonna be that perfect unit for everyone. People here complaining about the faders being too long, and someone else in the other VSM thread bitchin' they're too short... :p |

| there are plenty of controllers out there with knobs faders and buttons for launching clips. They are cheap as well. If this is expensive on release and people buy it, then they are mugs |

I suspect it's not cheap, nor is built cheap.
I suspect it's build quality is right up there with an A+H or Rane mixer, but we'll have to wait and see. You can't tell me you think the pots look cheap just because you don't like the style of the caps...
And the Korg doesn't really compare to this. Different beasts.
I don't know why A+H dropped the ball with their Xone 2D. If they had copied essentially this layout (which has been public knowledge for years), they have everything else right. |

Can you point me to them? Do they have functional layouts designed with a DJ (and not a computer programmer) in mind? That isnt made entirely out of cheap plastic? I'd rather not waste my money. |

The only ones I can think of are the Faderfox controllers.

They are pricey here in the US though.
