I can't believe everyone is taking this so seriously. Throwing around important words like "scandal" and "investigation" and "discredit" :stongue:

Well come on now Theodore - I don't think any intelligible person would say that CL and DJ Dan were "innocent," or rather, lacked knowledge of it.
It is, however, my opinion that they really didn't do anything "wrong" (conceding of course that morality is subjective). |

The poll is a reference point for ppl just getting into the scene, hense how it helps market these djs to the masses, ppl who hold these numbers in such high regard. For those who do develop taste outside the box, the poll simply becomes comedy fodder.
Looking at it again today, I think it's too early to write off these two djs, as they could either get buried under the negative press or thrive from it.. depends on how they use the publiciity. I saw DJ Dan a few months ago.. and the resident (Franco Fabi) at Circus here in Montreal was sooo much more palatable to the dancefloor vibe that night. Let's hope DD and CL come back swinging with some serious sets for their own (and their fans')sake. |
