| Gonna be 25 in a few weeks, and I don't seem to have anything figured out. Is pretty much a bummer when you meet people a few years younger than you but already have a family or a career with opportunities for advancement. Just last week I was chilling with some etards and found out I was the oldest one in the group...by 6 years. Maybe it's time to join this alliance. |

Is it really so bad though? Sour grapes, if you ask me. Except the money thing. Money is neat to have sometimes. But I am seriously hesitant to believe a good majority of people when they say they are "happy" when they are 23 and have 3 kids and a spouse. Is happiness truly "settling down" and living the cookie-cutter lifestyle for some people? Is happiness really that easy for some? I don't think I could ever be content being there. It makes me all itchy just thinking about it.
Naturally, everyone has to find out for themselves what makes them happy in life, then go for it - happiness is very much a sense of self-efficacy. But why the hell are so many content in giving up the search and deciding to settle down and spawn? How primitive. |
