Or even worse, when the backstreet boys come up in a conversation and people can't relate because it's before their time :nervous: |
OMG, I want to +1 the hell out of this statement!
I remember I was talking to a girl in a party last year and I was like "OMFG, I love this tune... this is the stuff that got me into electronic music, back in 1991". She didn't say a word. Later on the conversation, I found out she had been born in 1991. Sure, I was just 8 back then but... bloody hell, I remember stuff that happened way before she was even born! |

Anyone still in college should not be allowed to say this. Ever.
I admit, when I first found out that LeBron is younger than I am, it made me say "whoa" but if you aren't working a real job, then you're still a kid. |

LOL are you for real?? I'm almost 27 and don't feel anything but awesome. I never factor my age into my well being. It's of no consequence whatsoever. |
i hope i'm that excited when i'm 27

that's when i first started feeling...old.
i'm turning 25 in two weeks, and i can't freakin' stand it. just the fact that i've been out of high school for 6 years, and out of college for over a year now.
i keep looking at things in that perspective...it was like 20 years ago when i started grade school :wtf: that's a scary thought. nothing should ever be measured in "decades".
there's no real way to explain how you feel old. you just do. and marc summers, holy you're 20....you were born in 1987.
people being born in the late 80s and are almost legal to drink, jeezus.
my younger cousin was born in 1990, and she's going to graduate high school next year :wtf: i mean, you see these people grow up and all you can still really remember was when they were just a baby. it's like that memory is more important than any other one about them....and everything is referenced off of it.
, i'm rambling. the senility is setting in already :( |

I know what your saying there. What makes me sad is my cousin turned 3 all ready and i have only seen her 2 or 3 times. I actually feel like crying when i visited them last time i was home a month ago, my aunt was like "You remember you cousin Chris dont you!?" and she just stood there all shy like who is this freak. My other one is 8 and i only really remember him when he was a little guy. Another reason i hate the military life. When my one cousin is 18, i'll be 36.:sadgreen: |

That's exactly how I feel!
Except I'm turning 25 in two months (not in 2 weeks)... and I'm graduating now (I'm a bit late in my studies).
Today my girlfriend asked me about getting married after I graduate. On the one hand, I'm old enough... on the other, I still can't believe I'm that old - I'm not sure I'm ready for that just yet. |

Nov-30-2000, hmm I'd just turned 21 when I joined here... a particularly terrible, arrogant, grown up, know it all and obnoxious 21 if I remember correctly too but life was hard for me at the time. Very hard, working myself to death, bouncing around the world, losing the farm, mum dying, ending up back in Australia and I'm quite grateful it's behind me.
I wouldn't want to be 21 again, it was horrible (edit-22, 23, 24 where also crap now that I think about it...)
Most things have changed for the better, some haven't but essentially I'm still the same painful bitch. Life will probably drag me away from TA again sometime soon, it's the way of the world I guess. |
