i think this is why you like the underdogs this year..

i probably would have too if i didnt have all this money on these other teams...

but riddle me this? did you root for Davidson over Wisconson when they played?

Of course not! I have some degree of hometown pride! :p

man that guy is a crazy baller, I said UNC would win the title at the beginning of the year

i agree, but do any of you all envision him of much of a pro?

for some reason to me I just don't see it.. maybe a 6th man type player

Probably because he needs to put on weight

if Texas had made it would you have considered them the underdog even though they already beat UCLA this year @ UCLA? or was Davidson your last hope of any intrigue in the FF and not Texas, Xavier, or Lville?

hypothetical - Texas, Xavier, Lville, and David all make the FF... It would kinda be like a full FF of underdogs...

Davidson would probably be favored over Lville b/c they would have just been on a tear through the tourny including knocking off GTown, Wisc and KU... where as Lville would have beaten a beatable Tenn team (who struggled against American and Butler) and UNC(big win, i'll give them that)...

So who is the "underdog"? I'd say it'd be Xavier out of that foursome, but as a basketball fan the excitiment of Xavier vs Texas just doesnt have the same ring as Memphis vs UCLA and obviously Lville vs Davidson isn't like UNC vs KU...

When looking at the brackets and picking my teams a few weeks ago I said to myself that there are 5, maybe 6 teams that are the favorites and then a big big drop off. Tennessee was that iffy 6th team. Duke and Gtown were distant 2's. I guess with this thinking that b/c of this anybody else besides the 1 seeds and Texas would have been a big upset.

I'm rambling off thoughts now... i'll stop.. :D

i think he can now. he's been hitting more jumpers... still looks a little awkward, but he can be a boozer type in the nba. i think they're roughly the same size.

yeah, and the concern with carlos boozer was whether he could do anything else besides outmuscling people. looks like he can. shelden williams on the other hand... fail!

just read that the Lopez brothers are going pro..

predictions in what they will do in the NBA... I personally think they will be much better than the Collins twins..

Brook is predicted a top 15 and Robin will probably be a 2nd rounder...

They give me a very Tim Duncan feel.. Brook more so, but Robin I think is much better defender and Brook is more offense..

thoughts??

There was an interesting article in the NYTimes that almost went so far as to paint Wisconsin as the under dog going into that game.

Pretty cool actually.

tyler hansborough's style is close to david lee(new york), a young antonio mcdyess(then denver when young, now detroit), al horford(atlanta), or boozer coming out of college. very agressive on the offensive boards, reliable from 10 to 12 feet in, can play average on defense for now, but room to grow, and can come in the game off the bench, play 10-15 minutes a night easily, and still play a significant role on the team.

he would of course be a perfect fit on a nba team if they have a reliable shooting guard, but if he's the go-to guy who needs 15-20 shot attempts a game, then no i don't think he can fit that role.

i wouldn't be surprised if both lopez brothers are taken in the top 15. it seems many nba teams are gambling on unproven, shady, or big name big guys early in the draft, overlooking quality shooting guards / small forwards.

good to hear stephen curry is staying one more year. i have a feeling his dad is telling him to stay the full 4 years. i say it's a good decision for him, especially this year, which may look to be a very heavy stocked draft filled with big guys and big names from top schools.

i am curious to see where chris lofton(tennessee), jason richards(davidson), and depending on how kansas finishes, their top 4 starting guys(jackson, chalmers, robinson, rush) will fit in the nba draft.
