isnt that pretty much the same..... she didnt mean that we lynch them. she meant that we have a bad stereotype about them. less intelligent, less ambitious, lazy, dirty and unable to perform the same tasks that we do.

i think she is writing a paper on it or something to be published later... not sure.

when i see what i saw yesterday though, it just makes sense. or when i see a 300 pound dude walking around with a 50 ounce coke glass from the gasmstation.

yep, I've seen it happen too. It is easy to lose the weight when you don't even think about food anymore. And I'd for sure be trying that before I let someone cut me open and suck out fat or shrink my stomach.

i still think she is wrong on this one :o

you can't sweat off melanin. It's not even in the same ballpark.

Yes, there are people for whom obesity is all but inevitable (genetics, medication, etc.), but they're far outweighed (!) by those who just choose to be fat.

My favorite is when you see a 300 pounder order the King sized double bacon Whopper meal and then get diet Coke with it.

Exercise won't do much to make you lose weight unless you modify your diet (although it can improve insulin sensitivity). It makes you hungrier, so it's quite likely that you'll make up for the calories you burn with increased food intake. See this article:

High insulin means lots of fat storage. The way to lose weight is to eat foods that don't make your body secrete a lot of insulin. That means, basically, meat, vegetables, cheese, and the occasional fruit or rye bread.
