Trance done right (i.e. PVD, SVD, Corsten) is still best IMO. I always have liked breaks somewhat and techno as well
The real fight always seemed to be between house and trance in this city, you had to love one and hate the other or else. I am guilty of being involved. But it got old after a while, as people were just bringing EDM down altogether. Remember to most people outside the scene all EDM is just techno
However house has come a long way from the boring deep and disco house of old. Now you have techy, hard house, electro, tribal-tech and many sub-genres that are worth listening to. Not to mention trance events are few and far between nowadays, and more girls listen to house
So bring Boris, Morillo, Carl Cox, Kleinenberg, Sanchez, JZ and all the other GOOD house/tech DJs and I would suggest any open-minded trance-heads attend, U just might enjoy yourself |

I wonder if the decreased trance listening in FLTA has anything to do with the overall downturn of trance music in the past 2+/- years.
It seems all of tranceaddict is opening up to other styles of EDM. Could be because trance is mostly these days.
I don't mean to start another "trance is dead" thread, but IMO, it couldn't be move obvious. |

i wouldn't necessarily say trance is dead... i think it's more that trance has a lot more competition becaause all of the genres have evolved a lot more and have gotten bigger within the last 2 years. i'll admit i've been digging techno and house a lot more as of late, but they still don't give me goosebumps as trance can do sometimes |
