| I like to to diversify myself anyways.. Different electronic music is awesome for different moods and enviroments.. Trance is still my favorite.. but I don't mind chilling out to some Prog House, or moshing to hardstyle, or grooving to breaks.. In my book its all good.. and good artist equal good fun... |

| We should have an FLTA download thread which spreads the love of a wide range of styles... maybe a featured style every week, or a featured artist, or not. Maybe we could use it to host sets from DJs who are coming to Florida soon. Thoughts? I will organize it if need be. Get it stickied maybe? |

It's been thought of before.. but in the end there really isn't a need for it.

Trance has been slowly dying a slow gorry death for the last 2 years.
I used to like trance as much as anyone but im honest with myself in saying that house is a much more intelligent form of EDM.I mean when was the last time you watched a trance dj spin for more than 8 hours????
Well,well,you guessed it, it never happens.
The reason is because even tranceheads can't even take it for more than 6 hours, it's too much.You get angry at it's repetitive sound.
I mean if you shoot your load right in your girlfriend's face to quickly in the bed then what do you do?????

All im saying is that trance has stayed where it is and other form's of EDM have evolved exponentially.
But seriously if trance djs could just be more like a PVD and less like a Tiesto we would be better off in the longrun because PVD is one of the only Trance dj's that somewhat (for trance) builds up his set.To some extent(nothing like a house dj i might add)making his set go from point A-Z through the course of the night rather than straight at you the whole time.
Just some thoughts,take'em or leave'em it's up to you.
I still have some semblince of hope for trance,for that to happen a trance dj has to come along and bring something diffrent to the Trance table so to speak. |
