i am the god father in this section, have been posting here for the last 6 years:o
Where exactly do you work? Montreal has a big traffic problem, so your best bet is to live right next to where you work.
real estate in montreal is moderate compared to boiling hot vancouver, price apreciate about 6 to 9% a year on average. |

lol... maybe i've just been lurking here and saw you then :P
I will be working for the head office of Le Chateau (ferrier), or one of the stores downtown (st.catherines?)... I figure no matter where i live (westmount, or plateau mont royal) i am looking at about 1 hour commute by bus/metro. I have my car, but i guess I will figure out with time whether or not it makes sense to drive it there.
ps. great photos. |

Currently, it goes up about 6% every month...also i don't know if you drive/own a car but an indoor garage in downtown Mtl is worth more per square feet that the home itself...usualy a garage will set you up 56k...so if you find something reasonably priced with a garage it can be a great investment...even if you don't own a car you can easily rent it and help pay your mortgage... | oooh... that is exactly what i mean by tips!
thanks :) that is an awesome thing to know. Probably insanely hard to find, but good to know!!!!
ps. I pm'ed you my email, we should keep in touch. 7 months from now i will be in big need of your services. |

| I just looked at where the Chateau HQ is located, and the perfect neighbourhood for you should be the Mile End. Its the next neighbourhood to the north of le Plateau and would take you about 15-20 mins by car to the HQ. To St-catherine should be about 15-20 mins by car, but you should avoid that because of the lack of parking space. |

wow sweet, is Mile End nice? :) I will have to check out what it has to offer.
So how long have you guys lived in Montreal? (since always? or moved there?).... how does everyone like it?
I'm stoked to go to some sweet parties. |

Mile end is a popular area, nice cafés and bars, very good neighbourhood, pretty close to downtown!!
I have been living here for 21 years :) |
