right.

but earlier in the afternoon, when i was around, he didn't ask if i wanted to see a movie or anything with him. i asked him when i went to the casino if he was interested, and he said no and went right back to the game.

i guess its just not the same as it was in college....when you lived w/ someone, you did stuff together....i'm not sure if you've ever had roommates or not; but i always tried to do things w/ mine. it just made the living situation more fun, you know?

i'm not saying he has to do *Everything*; but this movie incident i guess kind of disappointed me.

Yeah, it sounds like your experiences with share housing were quite similar to mine. In most (I stress, most :p) places I lived with other people, the household would almost function as a social unit of it's own. I mean, everyone had their own friends and schedules and so forth, but it would always be like "Hey, me and some guys are heading out to a club/whatever later, you guys wanna come too?" Everyone was always let know if there was something/anything happening, and the people in those households grew close very quickly. I'm still friends with a load of people that I randomly met through moving into a spare room.

Only done it once, but it was kinda nice. Relaxing

Me too.

I went to see The Da Vinci Code by myself. I loved it. Let me have some time to chew on it by myself... it was peaceful and relaxing. I like to do a lot of things by myself.

I go to movies alone a lot. After you get out of school the pace of life slows down a lot. Most of my friends are married now or in serious relationships so calling them up for a movie doesn't work out most the time. Also my theater is a ways away so I never go at night, I usually go for a cheaper time while I have chores to do in the city. Spending $10 for a ticket at night is ridiculous.

I never did jack with my roommates. I did a bunch of stuff with my friends, but to me my roommates were just randoms I was forced to live with.

I think it helped with respect issues. I know damn well they hated living with me but they didn't give me grief because we weren't on that friend level.
