Happy fact of the day:
Coca Cola Original, actually had cocaine in it. MMMMMmmmmmmmm cocainerific.
| quote: | | In 1885, when Atlanta and Fulton County enacted temperance legislation, Pemberton scrambled to develop a non-alcoholic version of his popular product. Ironically, the new legislation did not affect the coca ingredient (cocaine), which remained in the formula until the end of the 19th century. The result was an early version of Coca-Cola, although the coca ingredient (cocaine) was the main active ingredient when the company was acquired by Asa Candler. |

Yeah.... but I just found out and I wanted to share.
Diet coke has, Phenylalanine (abbreviated as Phe or F)[1] is an α-amino acid with the formula HO2CCH(NH2)CH2C6H5. This essential amino acid is classified as nonpolar because of the hydrophobic nature of the benzyl side chain. The codons for L-phenylalanine are UUU and UUC. It is a white, powdery solid. L-Phenylalanine (LPA) is an electrically-neutral amino acid, one of the twenty common amino acids used to biochemically form proteins, coded for by DNA in it.
Mmmmmmmyes.
I seriously want to go out tonight because I'm in such a hyper mood... but gotta get up for work early. (apologies for rambling) |
