Nothing I can say that hasn't been said.
Fantastic night, fantastic vibe, fantastic people.
Great set from PVD, the fact he played 1-4 sharp might have pissed me off, other than the fact mark oliver handled the other parts of the night with ease.
Absolutely love the fact that so many monkeys feel the need to defend their having a good time at a trance event.
Shame on you people, enjoying that vile, uncool trance music.

first of all, thx to jason for bailing me out of the house last minute with that extra ticket and ride. thx man.
we got there and there was no line up at all for the guestlist. loved it. that was the quickest i've ever gotten into the guv/KH. no more than 3 min. although the lineup for coat check was alot longer lol.
wasn't really feeling MO's set. too many bleeps and other sounds almost as if it was a transmission with a satellite or something. other than the 2 tracks i recorded nothing realy stuck to me.
pvd came on and started an awesome set. the beat was fast, good bass, and good tracks. then after about 30-40 min of that, it went a bit downhill for me. i thought maybe a change of scenery would do the trick, so i went over to the other side of the room. but didn't really do much. the tracks didn't really grab my attention. he then played the britney spears remix which was just...meh. didn't really enjoy that. i did like hearing the classics played by PVD himself. espeically with him playing live on the piano was great to see. the encore was very very mediocre. i would've thought he would drop some classic tune but instead it was a very meh track followed by for an angel.
however, i have to say that he is a true master behind the decks. the way he works is truely amazing. no other dj i've seen does it like him. his interaction with the crowd was just as good.
was it worth coming to the party? yes. was it worth the price of admission? no. i'm glad to say i've seen PVD and put a checkmark beside his name on the list of DJs i've seen, but i probably won't go see him again.
wtf of the night: walking out of coat check and putting on my coat after pvd was done, when i see none other than our own fahad coming in late. LOL!
some of my pics.
the decorations/lighting was really poor this time imo. almost the whole time it was blue lighting, the some video screens we screwed up and turned off, and again the spotlight was barely on the dj.

No, not really.
I just find the idea of people partying on a Saturday night and simultaneously being moved by a PVD-in-Africa slideshow particularly funny.

Hey ID 2 seems to be some remix of UNKLE- In A State or some sort of mashup. It was my first time hearing this version.
MY Review of the night:
Don't post here often but here's my 2 cents.
Me and buddy got there around 12:30 AM. The outside lineup took like 10-15 mins, but I'm surprised no one here didn't mention the insane lineup for coatcheck. It went past the fence and swung around to the other side of the wall in the main entrence, almost blocking the doorway. That was terrible, but I left my coat in the car, so my friend had trouble.
The Kool Haus was RAMMED, but you could find space in near the back area by the bar, but yeah the middle was packed, as someone else mentioned between 2-3. But I guess it was worth it. PVD played very hard and fast, just what I expected. The middle of his set was lagging at bit, but things got back in place with that Linkin Park remix and then right after with that crazy Gimme More remix! It was really nice hearing Anthem and Time of our Lives back to back. I also liked when he played Satellite.
Overall a great night, I left 3:45'ish i was getting tired. But he played very well.

WoW .............Nice Pics & videos Alex.......ing making me really sad for missing this.

Paul Van Dyk was off the hook!!!!!!!
he played nice hard and fast rhythmic trance. I loved it when he played elements of tribal tech with hard hard beats in some breakdowns then gets super rhythmic after the build up. He played lots of good stuff. He blew my mind at least 10 times during his 3 hr set.
he played Oceanlab - satellite, that was good
New York City
inside the speaker
and a bunch of others
it was a brilliant set. But the only thing worth complaining about is that the set was TOO EFFIN SHORT. It felt like pvd wanted to play more but it seemed like that guy behind him gave him the signal to hurry up. He hasn't been here in 3 years and they let him play only 3 hrs, thats really sad. Even Mark oliver had more time to play, lots more.
Mark Oliver ---> (8/10) Nice warm up set
Paul van Dyk ---> (11/10) just incredible, one of the best dance music sets ive heard this year!
night overall ---> (8/10) it was fun
the bottom line is PLEASE BRING PAUL VAN DYK NEXT YEAR....WITH A LONGER SET!

I could swear he played Voo Doo & Serano lol
