| Danny Howells played some amazing sets back in the day but it baffles me how people completely overrate this man today, when he's playing he's the same boring minimal/tech/electro house that sasha and digweed are spinning |

Yeah, I can much better imagine a comparison with Digweed than with the style we've seen from Sasha over the past year or so. |

You wouldn't know from listening to some of the lyrics in vocal tracks. "Shiiiiiiiivers, up and down my spine" |

"Don't leave me, love me...just a little bit longer."
How stereotypically masculine.

Underground or Aeroplane
Doesn't matter in the end
I know it has to be this way
Youre leaving me again
So I'll write my little love song
And sing it to the wind
Youre out there on the road tonight
London, New York, Amsterdam
And I'm lonely here without you
Miss your breath against my skin
You love me then you leave me
Still I lie here pressing fingers where your kisses have been
And I miss you
And I miss you
And I miss you
I know I should be in bed
And its almost 3am
But when I close my eyes I can only see miles of headlights
Fleshing out the distance
So I'll sing my little lonely songs
Its just part of who I am
Cause I know that its been calling to you
London, New York, Amsterdam
Obviously music for men.
Men made of steel.
Men who don't mind to knock a bitch out.
Men who do NOT take from anyone.
Men. |

Yeah, they should blast that when charging into battle!
How about:
Is this true what I am wondering?
I think of you, are always on my mind
How I wish you were by my side
touching me, holding me.
And I miss you, forever falling for you
My heart is burning for you
Over and over again
And I Miss you, I cant be without you
I'm always dreaming about you
Over and over again
And I miss you, I still caught up in you
Keep on falling for you
Over and over again
Disgusting amounts of testosterone in that track. |

This seems like a good spot to repost the "Open Letter to Mr. Armin van Buuren" :stongue:

Dear Armin,
You are an awesome trance producer, and I love your mixes, my favorite being "Live at the armade in Ibiza" (my favorite comp. ever).
I would, however, respectfully request that you stop plastering your face all over the front of your cds. Trance music isn't about selling yourself, its about feelings and emotions that are bigger than us. It makes me so discouraged everytime I go down to the music store to a new mix, and I see yet another one of your cds with your face plastered all over it.
It's one thing to have your face on the cd as part of a visual collage, but its completely different when the only thing that is on the cover, is just a huge picture of your face, which, by the way, isn't has good looking as you might think. If you were a popstar trying to sell top 40 vomit to the masses, then it would be understandable. but your not.
No matter how good of a Dj you are, don't ever think that you, or any other one dj can encapsulate trance music. its bigger than you, me, or any other one person, and please start treating it that way. |
