That is one thing I do not miss at all. Thank god in Las Vegas we are lucky enough to not have washers here on a weekly basis. the crowd is actually very ddecnt.

Please do. Vegas is ing awful :stongue:

I was in Vegas 2 weeks ago for a friend's birthday and we went to Empire Ballroom because they're the only club open for after hours (or so we were told). Honestly one of the worst DJs I've ever heard. Terrible tracks and trainwrecking every single mix. Every one for an hour and a half :stongue:

By the way his name was Joey Mazzoula (or something lame), supposedly has the number 1 track on beatport...too bad it doesn't exist. What a ing joke.

Every Wednesday we have been doing a Godskitchen residency at Body English. There is always an open bar from 10:30 to 11:30 and it is always free to get in for all locals and out of state females. the crowd consists of nothing but locals and industry people wanting to have a good time.

Since we have started in October we have had Felix Da House Cat, Sandra Collins, Roger Sanchez, Tall Paul, Benni Benassi, Donald Glaude and Oscar G.

I can assure you that for 2008 which will be disclosed very soon that you will see a very diverse line up all year long.

I know this is off the topic of the original post, but I agree about the scene in Vegas. It seems like ever since Ice shut down, the scene has dropped off tremendously. I didn't care for Empire, and haven't been to Drai's in a long time. I don't understand why the best EDM night in Vegas appears to be on a Wednesday.

Is Body English in the Hard Rock? I kinda wanted to check that place out but didn't know where to go.

yup...

the best time to party in Vegas is during the week. Thats when the locals are out having a good time...

the weekends are horrible... everyone is just like cattle (and sometimes treated that way)...

week nights in Vegas are AWESSOOMMMMEEEE!!!

Yes it is. It is a very decent club that holds about 750 people and has a great sound system. the way it is laid out as well make it great vibe wise.

We also have been doing shows at TABU the Ultra lounge in the MGM with this concept called House of Style where we marry a fasion show with a DJ. it has been working out really well. Talent in the past have been Pete Tong, Oakenfold, Harry Choo Choo Romero, Chris Lake, and a few others. the room only holds 375 people and is always off the hook with a good crowd that is all about EDM.

Vegas is good, you just need to know where to go :)

We gear the night for the people of the town. Free entry, free open bar to start you off and always treated right!

To be honest the last 3 months have been capacity everytime with nothing but locals who love EDM and everyone that usually works on Thursday, Friday and Saturday which make a really good crowd.

2008's line up I can assure you is just as good as what ever the West Coast has to offer as Las Vegas is a perfect mid week stop over and the event is always a great time with no politics or bull with catering back to the community.

I'm not trying to "chime in", but just in defense of Joey Mazzola, I have to. He's an old good friend of mine, (he's originally from SF, and made a move out to vegas a while back). He's been djing for almost 14 years, and used to tear it up every time. He still does a few shows occasionally here in SF, and everytime, I'm still impressed. I admit I haven't heard him play in vegas, but as far as i know from what he tells me, its totally happenin out there. He also has a lot of great productions, (new & old), he's got a bunch on Dj Dans label, and also BlowMedia (hatiras label), and Soulmatic (Richard Vission/David Garcia). Hopefully he was just having a bad night or something, because he really is a great DJ/Producer. I dig all of his tracks...just my two cents :D

Production wise his older stuff sounds much MUCH better than what he's making today. It's too bad he's catering to the crap electro sound, but whatever that's his choice. As for djing...after 14 years he shouldn't be wrecking at all. Ever. No excuse for that.
