BSG: Razor- Best SciFi film since sliced bread?

yeah. finally got my grubby little digits on the extended version on DVD, and after a lack-lustre 3rd season the writers really showed why BSG is the greatest scifi TV series ever made.

THIS is how you make an action movie that has depth and soul. pure awesomeness, nerds unite!

this ^^ ladies and gentleman, highlights a distinct difference between nerds with brains, and those that struggle. nothing the X-files has given us is even close to the brilliance of razor. dont get me wrong, i liked the files (for a while at least) but razor is as serious as mainstream fantasy gets.

never really got into batalstar gallactica. i mean, i saw a few episodes on sci-fi channel, but it was all right.

i think i liked xfiles better as a sci-fi thing because it was mainly just the two characters.

i've never seen any of the BSG movies

Where did you pick that up PKC?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it on ebay.

Definitely worth it? It's pretty expensive...

i enjoyed this at a friend's place. maybe will purchase it myself.

Meh, haven't really been pulled much towards any recent sci-fi movie. I still think nothing will ever compare to the quality of sci-fi in the 70's.

Ever watch Babylon 5? Much much better than any of the 70s stuff, and most other sci-fi stuff too.

i looooove bsg :gsmile: :gsmile:

I was never really a fan of scifi stuff in general besides star wars and some other exceptions. My friend told me to check out BSG one day so i decided i would... It was a episode from season 3, when 5 or 6 crew members were deciding the fates of those that aided the cylons on new caprica. Since it was my first episode i've ever watched, i had no idea wtf was going on, so I instantly wrote it off as .

Ended up giving BSG a chance a few months later and absolutely fell in love with it. I ended up getting the episodes for all the seasons and watching every single episode. Most of the episodes are really good that you can go back and watch a decent amount of them multiple times.

I also figured I'd check out the original BSG from back in the day, but it is nowhere near as good as the new BSG

ordered it from on amazon ... and yeah, its definitely worth it. serious, sexy, cool, violent. yum. about to go watch it again, mwa! :D

better than all of the B5 movies rolled into one.

you can always wait for it to see an Oz release and it'll be well cheap. but definitely check it out, im getting hard just by thinking about it.

haha, no way. 70s (asides from starwars) was a little gay. nothing i have seen in a tv series approaches the seriousness of BSG, and this movie only elevates my expectations further. it is everything you could ever ask for *goes off to masturbate*

Well see I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to TV series, then again I have never been attracted to that whole kind of basis sci-fi movie series do. The weird suits, weird mutated races, basically the whole star trek kind of thing. I have never seen BSG or B5 so I don't know much about TV series and maybe I should netflix this.

As far as theatrical films go, I don't think anything will come close to 70's flicks. Soylent Green, Westworld + Futureworld, THX 1138, Slaughterhouse Five, Mad Max, ect. I never thought Clockwork Orange was that great of a film, in fact when I watched it I turned it off about 30 minutes into the movie because I thought it was a piece of :p

I'll netflix this though PKC, same with Babylon 5. Maybe I've been overlooking something grand :p
