Eric gave me a tip last night. Already implemented it and it works.

Do your mixdowns at a really low volume. Even at moderate volume the levels are still jacked, so do it quietly.

That + closing your eyes = win. :)

This is getting scary.

his songs are so simple but i find myself getting addicted to everything he releases, then i get tired after listening to it a 1000 times. anyways was wondering why he uses the same formula in every track?

its the pop of EDM...thats what pop does...

I only like his music. ;)
Dj O'Callaghan
Very catchy. I saw Sasha last year at Sankeys and remember him dropping Muranyi and Ironman. They were stuck my head days afterwards.

Catchy but recycled. It isn't even fun to listen to his things anymore because it all sounds the same. Same instruments, same effects. The Gift is the only song I would listen to regularly and casually.

Prydz has been boring the hell out of me lately. What an uninspired U.S. tour. He closed out his Detroit set with Sweet Dreams? LOL

For what it's worth, I thought he was top notch in DC. He played very little Pryda material and his set placed much more emphasis on house than progressive - he closed with:

Arno Cost & Arias - Magenta (Eric’s Bass Edit) /w Robin S
– Show Me Love (Acappella) & Vangelis – Chariots Of Fire

which I love.

Oh thanks to this thread I know now the one song I've loved for a long time. The song I ripped off a Dance Department podcast. Ugh, it's called Genesis by Pryda. So good.

I like Pryda.I just wish he wasn't played out on most dj sets last year.I think his tracks are interesting and they'd be even more interesting if they weren't played as much.I know that doesn't make much sense but that's just how i see it.:toothless
