There are a lot of people here who seem to think that the flow of opinion/information should only go one way - BT gets to pour his heart out on the internet and we should all just go "Oh my goodness, poor fellow!"
Unfortunately, by putting this all out there on the internet, BT himself has opened the floodgates to both sympathetic well wishing and bored internet kids who smell something very fishy about the whole situation.
Either way, the only reason it's a matter of discussion at all is because Bryan Transeau (or whatever the hell his real name is) put it out there in the first place.

calling the police seems like a pretty logical step in the process of resolving the situation.
Detective: Hi this is Det. McFarland. How can I help you?
BT: Yea, my daughter has been abducted by her mom.
Detective: Whoa, settle down there. We don't handle situations like that.
BT: Really?!?! What should I do?
Detective: Have you tried turning to the internet?
BT: That's a really good idea.
Detective: Yea I see people on there all the time looking for little girls. |

I know I shouldn't have, but I laughed.
Anyway, I have no idea who the hell these people are and why anyone should really care so much about the situation (other than of course common concern for a child that seems to be caught up in some type of bull.)
One thing that really doesn't make sense to me, is WHY HAVEN'T THE AUTHORITIES GOTTEN INVOLVED??? If this child was truly "kidnapped", then why hasn't anyone called the police, and have an ongoing investigation started until this child is found?
You think that posting on the internet is going to magically bring her back? Don't you think that having this publicized would reach out to more people who may not know about your internet drama going on?
In my opinion, if there was a true concern for this child's safety, the police would have been called immediately. The fact that they haven't makes the entire thing seem sketchy to me. |

In my opinion, it seems like BT posted the article because he claimed kaia was missing, but Ashley was simply running away from him due to what her mom calls an abusive relationship.
Turns out some drama unveiled itself on my news blog as well, with the grandma and a close friend of BTs posting to each other. Check it out:

I'd copy the posts here, but they are pretty large... |

This only serves to backup the point Rob and I were trying to make. We can't just believe one side of the story and this matter would best be kept without the PR unit of one side of the incidents people trying to spout things off. We can't be sure which party is in the right and which party is in the wrong. It's better if the proper authorities are allowed to deal with this themselves rather than a single party using a PR "machine" to get the public to side with them. |
