Funny...I've had chats with DJs who do play there and they tell me they all play their best when at Zone as the crowd is brutally tough at times. Hmmmm.
Take Manzone and Strong for instance....not many people realize what talented DJs they are as they are limited as to what they can play at The Drink. I happened to catch them one Sunday morning and the absoloute next leveledness of their set opened my eyes to how WICKED these guys are. Vinyl Junkies seem to reserve only a certain sound just for Zone that most people prefer. HMMM.

yes. this is quite true and is surely expected anywhere that you have the worst that society has to offer congregating in one place. but not only is it unfriendly and negative. it is also unstable. thats because any vibe is completely artificial. totally ingenuine. you can consider yourself lucky narcotix because a lack of understaning of the comfort zone is actually a beneficial characteristic. anybody who relates to the zone is somehow damaged.

So the chat I was having with a girl who works in non-profit yesterday (about how the organization she works for helps fund terminally ill children spend their last days at home comfortable with family) at where.....where is it? Zone of all places! She's definitely the worst that society has to offer as she spends her days helping others for barely any money at all and happens to enjoy going out and enjoying music without the hubadub glamour bullcrap of a lot of clubs here.

The fact that quite a few people like to gather in a dark basement and listen to dark, dirty beats (with substances involved or not involved) really makes them all the scum of society.

I dont care what anyone says, the scene was different in 2006 than it was in 2007, everything about it was better.

Not that I have been to the zone, but have been invited several times.

I don't go to Guv.
I don't go out the night before zone.
Like go get there full of energy :)
I don't like redbull, so to answer your question...none. No coffee either lol.
I'm usually sober...I don't need anything! I'm crazy enough on my own!

Heh, funny guy.

Dont get me wrong, I am sure it used to be way better than it was even a couple years ago. I have only been going out into the EDM scene since 04, but wasnt into it enough in 04/05 to make any real judgement.

However, I did notice a huge change in 06 to 07, mainly in the crowd and the performance of the DJ's. The Vibe changed drastically. (most) DJ's got lazy. The "happy to be there" party night was replaced with "I'm going to party it up even if I have to die trying".

Maybe there were other causes, but I got sick of apologizing to friends in 07 who were wondering WTF happened since the last time they were up there with me in '06.

I've only been a handful of times, but I've never had a bad night. Mind your business, dig the tunes and get your little funk on.

I can't relate to you as i've never had a bad time there. It's where i fell in love with house music, it's where i hear the most amazing beats so I just love that place regardless of the sketch. But honestly if you've experienced the zone and still don't like it then i doubt this will ever change for you. Maybe you should just leave it at that. Some of the ppl I party with at the guv have said very similar things you said about the zone and i've been partying with them at the guv for almost 5 years now and their opinion of cz still has not changed. They simply don't like it and never will. So i don't see the point in forcing yourself to have a good time there if you can't. Like Funky said, those sam djs play at other clubs as well so go there instead.

as for the sketch, they don't bother me, I don't bother them. I get a kick out of stupid things they end up doing.

CZ is definitely an experience. I'd rather take CZ over going to regular clubs with people dressed to get attention, annoying guys hitting on every girl they see and pushy crowds

Even if their sets at other clubs are diluted.
