I've had my V700s for years now any no cracks or breaks. If you're rough with it, sure it could break.

i've always wondered how they broke, i guess people stretch them out too much when they put them on or off?

custom spray.... all the way...

i sprayed my hd25sp in glasurit acrylic orange and 2-pack gloss lacq so it is rugged and doesnt scratch.

prob cost £50 to pay a spray/automotive company to do it.

DJ equipment is supposed to be hammered on. Stepped on dropped, spill a drink on, etc...

What the else are you paying all that money for?

Or order the silver version of the Sennheiser HD280 pro.

i would think that the silver hd2800's headband cracks just like it does on the black ones.
and they aren't pretty phones when worn anyway, which seems to concern the original poster.
great phones, except for the cracking headband.

I've had mine since 04, and yea they have small cracks but I epoxied that years ago and they've been trucking forever. But yeah they are ugly. You are right about that.
