| You'd think there would be more interest. Maybe as March approaches more people will be surfing this forum. Maybe we could do an entirely new thread w/ a poll and see who might come? Propose a date and location and then poll "would you come, yes or no"? |

| We should just pick a party(Beatport...etc..) and crash that bitch. Someone said "bp party is free". I can't remember if i paid last year or not? Or maybe we can find a place to rent like a conference room or party room from a restaurant or bar. These are the types of places im looking for during the day(easy on the wallet). |

| the remix hotel parties at the national last year were free [including the beatport pool party on sunday] -- just don't wait 'til late afternoon to show at the hotel, or the party will be at capacity. a meet early or mid-afternoon would be simple. |

The meet up idea is awesome , i will definetly be there and im pretty sure a lot more people is going to be down for this. but i dont think sunday is a good day , the idea is to get to meet people and get to chill with them in some of the parties since everybody has a different schedule. wednesday or thursday is kool.

| Finding a venue to throw a party at is almost impossible during WMC.....unless somebody has some serious connections.....pretty much everything is booked far in advance. Like Damon said, we did it proper in 04 and it turned out great.....but this was just a TA dinner.......no DJs spinning . 05 was a disaster....the restaurant tried to us over on the bill and wanted a deposit before they brought out the main meals and this was not part of the agreement so everybody left. IMO it's way too hard to organize a meet up and most people don't show up anyways. Best bet is to pick an event that's already going down and everybody meet up / hang out there. Either way I'm still not going to WMC this year lol.....but you all have fun!;) |

I would be up for a meet... if the beatport pool party is free i think thats the best place.
Otherwise Wednesday evening would be good for me, not sure when else... just have to wait and see as it gets closer? |

Is this the beatport party on Sunday? Sounds cool, but also smaller meetups during the week would be beneficial for some of us out of towners. Nothing big, just somewhere to meet some TAs headed to the same event that night. Probably pretty hard to organize also, huh, with the nonstop schedule and all. Guess we'll just see how schedules coincide as things get closer. |
