I have several strange rituals with food. For example, I "group" Chex mix before I eat it- peanuts together, chex in piles, etc. and then I eat one group at a time. Do it with m&m's too. Also, I usually eat meals by eating what I like the least first and what I like most last. Eating salads is hard because I have to pick them apart so I can eat the lettuce first and the croutons last.
You wouldn't believe how I eat Reese's peanut butter cups- I eat the chocolate first and strip the peanut butter bare before eating it next. :p |

You know what... reading about other people's OCD type things, I don't think mine are so bad. I just practice really good hygiene, and seem to be a lot more conscious of it than most.
People wonder how they got cold sores (herpes simplex 1), rashes, and other various illnesses.
People are friggen dirty. |

| That doesn't even make sense. A virus is always virulent. Had you said pathogenic, it would have been a lot more funny. Fag! |

idk. it seems like good practice, but i'd never go that far. especially with more stuff coming out lately about how like if you're not a high-risk individual, using hand sanitizer obsessively could actually hurt you more than it helps. you're not being exposed to any germs, so the ones that do get through probably have more of an effect on you than they would on someone else.
as for me? i get weird cold thingie spread out from november to march, same stages every single year, just a seasonal thing. and other than that i have been sick in over a decade. |

I didn't say a virus must be kept virulent.
I wasn't even speaking of viruses when I said 'strain'.
I meant the human strain; it must be constantly tested by the wear and presence of viruses in order to possess any developmental resilience - being an utter germaphobe does a great disservice to immunity systems over a long enough period of time - that is, if you live long enough to reproduce. |

That's not really good hygiene, you're going to the extreme. :p
You have germophobia, and we all know that phobia is irrational fear. ;) |

Oh, well then. I stand corrected.
