im about to pick up a djm800 in a couple weeks, but my main gripe is the sound quality of the 800. i tried researching it, but there really wasnt much to it. even tried searching through all the threads on TA but to no avail.
when i fiddled around with a djm400, i noticed that the sound quality wasnt that great...seemed like it was very mid heavy. with that in mind, am i safe to assume that the 800 will sound a load better than the 400? i found topic on another board saying that they sound almost identical. any truth to this?

| Pioneer claims they use the same audio circuitry. So I would assume the sound would be similar. The 800 should be fine though for sure, you see it in a lot of clubs and they seem to be just fine... |

couldve been the speakers that the djm400 was hooked up to. when i fiddled around with it, they were hooked up to some jbl prx speakers. |

| 400 isn't that great like others have mentioned but the 800 is fine for me. |

The 400 and 800 HAVE to sound exactly the same, assuming they use the same circuitry as mentioned above.
In the 2 channel sub $500 market, the 400 is wonderful, IMO. |

I've heard that the RCA Connectors have a worse sound than XLR or 1/4,
is there any true on this?
is it far worse, or just barely?
Thanks |

| XLR and TRS are balanced which equals better sound. I think it has to do with the waves of sound being in balance but someone correct me if I'm wrong. |
