| It wasnt an alien. It was a sea creature of some sort. It came from the Atlantic Ocean. It first attacked an ocean liner from a oil digging rig. The monster was a deep sea creature that was diturbed by a digging in the ocean and followed the boat back to the new york coast line. |

Heard on the news that Cloverfield was the #1 grossing movie ever for the month of January making around $41 Million.
Thats freaking amazing considering the cost to produce was probably nothing including majority of the marketing which was online!
Just checked..Production budget was $25 Million.
