PS.
Heard on the news that Cloverfield was the #1 grossing movie ever for the month of January making around $41 Million.
Thats freaking amazing considering the cost to produce was probably nothing including majority of the marketing which was online!
Just checked..Production budget was $25 Million.

They probably took a hint from when the Blair Witch Project was made....seems like they mirrored a lot of their ideas. |

There is a lot more to the movie beleive me, but actually not tooo much since the damn thing is only 84 minutes long. But seriously, everything I mentioned above I found on a website and not in the movie. They dont tell you a damn thing in the movie about what the monster is or where it came from. I guess that is why there is a part 2. I would watch it again but it is definatly a movie to see in the theaters cause the effects are amazing. |

Just finished watching it.
I honestly didn't think it was that bad. The ending did kinda suck as you wanna more of what happened w/ the whole etc. but a decent movie overall.
Really different then the average movie which is what I liked! |

Yup! Exactly.
The only difference was that the Blair Witch had a production cost of $60,000.00
That's crazy. It grossed over $248,000,000.00 Worldwide! Holy ! Now thats a decent return haha

I thought this film was great.
No problems with the hand-held style of filming. Took a bit to get used to but after the initial party sequence at the start, it's no problem.
Nothing like Blair Witch so all comparison's other than "it used a handl-held" are completely irrelevant. This filming was so much smoother than Blair Witch, but that's the difference between camera's.
Glorified Godzilla flick basically, but highly entertaining. Very well done. 8.5/10 |
