Well, the more people i speak to, the more i hear " Well, movies simply aren't as good as they used to be"
Without sounding like a bitter old coot. I'm interested to hear what your favourite movies of the 2000s would be.
* Note, i haven't hit search, mind you i will likely be told to*
I only have one choice that i can consistantly watch.

tough choice...as movies have indeed gone downhill.
From 2000-now...considering acting, writing, visuals, etc. and if I can name just one:
Lost in Translation
Bill Murray's finest performance, beautifully shot and well written. He was *robbed* of an Oscar (Sean Penn won for Mystic River, another good film). |

I loved it too but best one in the past decade, I don't know about that. :)
There's quite a few but the one that really struck a cord with me the first time I saw it was The Matrix (1999). |

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
Equilibrium (2002)
Cidade de Deus (City of God) (2002)
Basic (2003)
Collateral (2004)
The Fountain (2006)
ps. are you serious about 300 being your fav movie in the last decade? I honestly thought that movie was garbage, so over-hyped - to each his own though! :cool: |
