"Have a nice trip? What is the Dominican Republic like?"

"It's great!!! Free food for everyone!!!"

"And the people?"

"Soooooooo nice, so long as you tip them."
I agree... but when you have been to a place enough times... its the way to go imo.

100 bucks for a room with all you can eat and drink... cant lose.

Now if it was a place i have never been to... no thanks.

But if you get a dose of the Brad Pitts you'll not be saying that. :p

Yeah true if you've been before, and can be just pure R&R but just seems a bit of a waste.

Wtf is with all the don't drink the water?! There are big obvious signs in the bathroom that say, don't drink the water. You needn't worry, you are duly warned wherever you stay of what you shouldn't though. As far as Punta Cana goes, its very nice, the beaches are calm and the water is clear. I would recommend day trips to Bavaro, or to the capital if they offer them (depending on how long you are staying). I would definitely consider the dune buggy/atv trips, they are pretty fun. While in Bavaro, make sure you try out the local cuisine (or anywhere else, just go outside the hotel for better food). If you feel adventurous, you can always try the rum spiced with turtle penis and other sea creatures hehe. Whatever you do, just make sure you don't just stay in the hotel. You'll get bored after a couple of days.

the water ain't radioactive. chill. just don't drink it. you can brush your teeth fine and bathe just fine.

you'll be visiting the basically most beautiful and touristy part of the country. i wouldn't recommend coming to the capital, no point. you're at the best place there is to be, and since it's a tourist area, operates all the time. us locals and our establishments have an enforced 2am curfew, so the nightlife here in the city is basically dead. if you wanna catch a gig, let me or Ivan know more specifically when you're here, and we'll let you know whats up, see if there's anything worth catching. it'll probably be more trouble than it's worth i think.

otherwise, have fun, enjoy the beach, the people are generally nice, BUT don't get duped like the dumb tourists. they'll try and sell you trinkets worth dirt for preeetttyyy hefty prices if they see you'll buy into it.
