I almost started crying the night before we left. We were sitting in an Italian restaurant, the Dominican men singing a beautiful song to us, and I was thinking about how I would have to leave such an awesome place and come back to Canada.
I enjoyed the Dominican better than I enjoyed Mexico.
The thought of moving to a place like that and becoming a tour operator went through my head many times. I mean, why not? Even if it is only temporary. |

yes, there are elections coming, also, that church, fgs it is really big and theres a lot of people who go from every part of the country ON FOOT because they think the virgin is giving them a miracle.
Im really glad you had fun, sad we couldnt meet (im still expecting the bikini pics /jennypie)
Also, even tho Punta Cana is the biggest tourist destination of the country, the city capital (Higuey) is in really really bad conditions.
Start planning for next year, im taking you to the capital and then we can go to a cabaņa :D (alex si traduces eso considerate muerto) :p

I was pretty much the controller of the camera the entire trip, so I never got any photos of me in my bikini. I didn't really think "hmm, I am half naked, I should get someone to take a picture of me".
Sorry to disappoint.
I wouldn't say Higuey is really meant for tourists. It seemed like a genuine Dominican city to me, not something touristy at all.
Am I staying at your house? :D |

Also, about higuey, yes its a typical dominican city, but the goverment should really increase spending overthere, sadly once you are out of Santo Domingo (and in a lesser scale) Santiago, everything is trees and mountains and animals and cooked dogs markets |
