If it is 178 Bathurst then it is the old "Crosstown" club (South West corner of Bathurst & Queen). It also was the old Healey's (Jeff Healey's place). The ground-floor bar is called "The Paddock". The New Basement is downstairs - underneath "The Paddock".
I saw Dennis Ferrer and Martinez brothers at Crosstown and the venue was awesome. |

lol... I am not a promoter. Infact I didn't even hear about this place until my friend decided to take me after CONTACT...
Plus I never go to afterhours, heck I've only been to CZ once on halloween and I don't remember a dang thing... |

How is this thread any different than a CoZo thread that you are going ape about, or a Gallery thread Evan is going off about, or hell, even a Mod Club thread that I post in?
It's only natural for you to speak positively about something you are associated with, of course without going over board with the spam factor. I didn't find this thread to do anything but give people an alternative to CoZo.

Hey Jon Jon,
Nopers, I'm not a promoter--nor do I ever want to get into that game.. merely a fan of the tunes.
By drama, i mean: The last time I was at zone, I saw some stuff go down --unrelated to the quality of music, etc (which has always been great *cough* except the minimal stuff *cough*)-- that didn't make me feel safe. A suitable comfort level wasn't established for me to enjoy myself. So, given my experience (which may not apply to everyone--everyone makes their own way and their own experience), I found it refreshing to find an alternative on Sunday morning while I give zone a break for a bit.
I'm definitely not saying zone is done, or I'll never go there again, etc... I've had some of the BEST times there--and I can't wait for D-Unity to spin there again. I'll be there for that, and for many future events that Raquel, Stan and associated people throw there. I also hear Anas Attia will be spinning at zone soon---WICKED.
Jon, i try to keep it balanced...you know me. I'm surprised you would think my review is a promoter plant. I'm sorry I didn't represent myself properly in this regard. |

I don't have a problem with someone being affiliated with anything, but don't ing pose as a regular patron giving an honest and unbiased review.
Do you not think the credibility of the boad (specifically reviews) should come first? |
