what? now i'm convinced you hit your head or something this morning.
First, Tiesto cant put a "best show ever at (insert venue name here)" for any location. Because there are just way too many people better than him. Secondly, Vanguard is a hard place to have a best show ever event because the place sucks and they always over pack it beyond what is comfortable or safe any time someone really good or high profiled comes to play. |

Bro you are in lala land.... Tiesto at Vanguard would be the best show in LA for a club yes I know the massives are a different story but there isnt a club in LA that you can have a better time in and dude you say Vanguard sucks???? Get something straight Giant as a promoter might suck because they pack too many people in there but Vanguard is the best venue ever in LA it pisses on AVALON any day of the week... Also we know you dont like Tiesto its all good most people can respect that I def can... |

i want some of what you are smoking.
Vanguard has a horrible DJ set up. The security ing blows. The bartenders are . Their CC policy is f-ed up. The sound system is powerful but far from being controlled at a reasonable level. The lighting rig is impressive only to a certain point then it becomes too bright or mostly goes unnoticed. Take out all the controllable factors that could be solved by simply firing everyone and replacing them with competent people and you still have just an OK venue. When they build a reasonable stage for the DJ that isnt just "cool kid" hang out spot then I will give Vanguard another look from a design perspective. Right now DJ placement is ty.
Granted. Avalon is not a good club venue. Its a freakin theater. No argument there.
Circus is the best real club venue in Los Angeles. Same deal here. Replace all the controllable factors and you have one of the last real night clubs left in this city. |
