I find it funny you assert motivation for objective scientific research is not on scientific inquiry, but political bias. As if the scientists do their work for political gain. Sorry, but politics has no bearing on a scientist testing the chemical composition of ice core samples in Greenland, or other similar types of research. |
That's funny because there's lot of scientific facts that point to us going through Earth's normal cycling of warming and cooling...
Strange huh? |

There's much more $$ in following Al Gore...:p |

Al Gore doesnt know dick . I read his Earth In The Balance books eons before Inconvenient Truth came out. I was shocked. Because after the movie I realized that Al Gore is not only a liar, he doesnt even know what the hell he is talking about. Read the book, and you'll know what I mean. To summarize - in the book Al Gore talks about how human-caused environmental damage (i.e. rainforest destruction, pollution, altering of terrain and other geological natural objects) is causing terrible global changes. In the movie, all of a sudden rainforests are meaningless - and it turns out the industries are the ones behind all the . Something doesnt add up.

did you read that in a book or just listen to that propoganda video "The Global Warming Hoax?" The main reason claims from the video are in video form is that it feeds into emotion, and is easier to spread to uneducated people (i'm not implying that you are uneducated, just that the motivation to put these claims on video and not in a journal is to spread it to people who don't read). If it's not written, it's not credible.
btw...are you a climatologist? why does your opinion on this mean anything? |
"Global Warming Hoax"? You are a tool. OK, Mr. Einstein, I guess your opinion means a lot. Tell me something knowledgable other that senseless post. In case you were wondering, I was speaking from the heart. I know global warming is ballony. But at the same time I know that environmental destruction is a topic that has yet to attain a movie of its own for a blockbuster.
Let me clear some things up for people who dont know me - I know there's serious climate change going on right now. I know that humans are a major factor in the complete degredation of the environment and the planet in general on all fronts. Without a doubt. That needs to be addressed first. CO2 emissions is the least of our concerns. Most CO2 emissions are caused by the destruction of rainforests, for Christ's sake, than from all the cars, planes, trains, and other sources of trainsportation COMBINED. And yes, I have a source to back that statement up (I can dig it up later to satisfy the disbelievers). All this stuff was forgotten by Al Gore. Because there's no money making in that. Al Gore, as a politician, knows that he can blame everything on industries and make loads of money though carbon credit trading/selling business, which he's involved in btfw. One ing thing I gotta add, is that despite all the carbon trading going on, CO2 levels are still going up. Which means there's a lot of bull out there.
Climate change climate change. What worries me the most is that Earth's lifesystems are in terrible decline. We are sidestepping the issue again to instead focus on global warming bull, which is basically ignoring environmental problems and focusing instead on ways to continue our current decadent lifestyles of pillaging the planet by maintaining status quo and maintaining steady levels of CO2 emissions. Kuddos to Al Gore. |

I love when people resort to insults because it shows everyone that you lack the intellectual capacity to have a civil discussion.
my opinion on climate change means nothing because i don't know enough and i am not qualified to formulate a credible opinion. I, however, did not say:

In my opinion, the effect of increasing CO2 levels has absolutely minimal effect on global temperature changes, I already stressed that eons ago.

I was not trying to be a dick when i asked why your opinion means anything. From your most recent post, however, your opinion clearly means nothing. |

Its real funny how those that tend to champion against conspiracy theories, in this instance, more and more, are becoming the conspirators.
Its all a huge hoax led by the far left crazies, rouge scientists, and evil Al Gore against the mighty corporations! If you ask nicely maybe Opus will let you borrow his tin foil hat. |

I really have no skin in this particular thread, but my opinions on Al Gore have been laid out ad nauseum in this forum and I won't say much more about him. However, if ever there was any question that he is little more than an opportunistic political hack, my suspicions were again confirmed a few weeks ago when he tried to use the term "subprime carbon assets" to further his own agenda. Whether or not what he preaches is correct or incorrect, I sincerely doubt he has a firm grasp of any of the science behind any of it, rather he simply reads the lines placed in front of him. It is really rather sad. It is even more sad that so many people stare up at him in awe and eagerly lap up any amount of bull that comes out of his mouth like gospel.
In the meantime, he has quietly amassed a rather large fortune in the past 8 years playing the public for fools; preaching his message while he lives in his "carbon neutral" fortress, knowing his followers will ardently defend him against any and every attack. It's really not unlike so many televangelists who have pulled of similar frauds over the years only to be exposed in the end for what they truly are. Is it really that surprising that he is from Tennessee and failed out of divinity school? The dots practically connect themselves.
| quote: | | This week, speaking to financial leaders controlling $20 trillion in assets (yeah $20 TRILLION), Gore said “You need to really scrub your investment portfolios, because I guarantee you — as my longtime good redneck friends in Tennessee say, I guarandamntee you — that if you really take a fine-tooth comb and go through your portfolios, many of you are going to find them chock-full of subprime carbon assets.” |
Dios mio, man. Laughable. |

Umm, I'd highly suggest otherwise. I just came across this study that was done back in 2005:
http://people.csail.mit.edu/rahimi/helmet/
It is extraordinarily disturbing, to say the least:
| quote: | Abstract
We investigate the efficacy of three aluminum helmet designs on a sample group of four individuals. Using a $250,000 network analyser, we find that although on average all helmets attenuate invasive radio frequencies in either directions (either emanating from an outside source, or emanating from the cranium of the subject),certain frequencies are in fact greatly amplified. These amplified frequencies coincide with radio bands reserved for government use according to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). Statistical evidence suggests the use of helmets may in fact enhance the government's invasive abilities. We speculate that the government may in fact have started the helmet craze for this reason. |
You read that right, man. All this time THE ING GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN TRICKING ME DAMMIT!!!!!!! THOSE EVIL BASTARDS HAD SET ME UP FROM THE START!!!!!
FUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!
***little out of breath***
So no borrowing hats, kay? Mine's already in the trash. I'll be lookin' for new radiowave proof material on my own..... |
