I need to vent, i can't afford a psychiatrist lol, and I 'm not going to talk to my co-workers...but me, the biggest liars, manipulators and cowards...and the worst part is they aren't even good at it.
This is not my particular case, but i mean come and talk insane amounts of , provoke you and then get physical knowing because of their ing little sliver name tag, that if you retaliate....you lose.
A grade 12 english is all you need, a few months at cop college and then your upgraded to a bully.
Officer of the Peace?? very few that I've met even as a fly on the wall.
IMO it's Love/Hate with these people.
The language, the actions, the disrespect they use even with dealing with something so much as a traffic stop or as a witness is ridiculous.
Feel free to vent with me, as I can guarantee we've all been there or someone you've known has been there. |

Yeah, some cops are s but there are nice ones too...
My dad got pulled over not too long ago and the cop was very rude and treated my dad like crap. My dad spoke back to the cop and the cop got so frustrated that he took the tickets with the license and threw it on my dad's lap into the car. This cop was about at least 20-25 years younger than my dad. My dad's final reply to him was "Shame on you"... He then went to make a complaint.
or one other time when I got pulled over for disobeying a no left turn sign which I didn't see but it is my fauly none-the-less. Anyways, the first thing the cop says to me after getting my license "Are you Turkish" like wtf? So I replied and said "Yes I am but that's none of your business" He got mad and tried to stick me with other tickets but I was able have all of them dropped and not have to pay a cent :) |

Some people just don't get it. "Don't poke the bear".
Be strong, stand up for yourself, be informed, but don't be a dick. It's a simple as that. Ask questions, but be respective.
I have dealt with cops in countless situations, but I have had mostly 'pleasant' experiences. The situations have ranged from public disturbances, drugs, trespassing, weapons (I didn't actually have any).... |

| i've had a couple of unpleasant experiences with cops but at the end of the day they are the ones protecting us from the real scum of the earth. yes, even traffic cops :whip: lol. long story. but seriously... i would never be a cop. i have no interest plus i don't possess that assertive "bully" type mentality to do it. why are the requirements for becoming a cop so low? do you really think someone who just graduated with a bachelors degree is going to wanna be a cop? |

Haha. My friend just finished his bachelors in mechanical engineering, didn't want that type of job, and is now a RCMP officer. |

Some of the most competent people I know and have worked with are cops
Like any other humans, you meet good and bad people. Cops included. |

| ive had quite a few run-ins with police. they were all pleasant experiences where they were polite. there was one occasion, however, where the plain clothed york regional police officer was flashing his badge quickly with his hand so i couldnt read the badge number. he was ready to pull his gun on me and pull me out of my car to kick my ass if his partner wasnt there. ing powertripping idiot. |

I have spent quite a bit of time hanging out with police and detectives. They are not these big s that you think they are, haha. The ones that I know are cool and fun. They have very stressful jobs and have to deal with a lot of stupid s who talk back to them and try to deny that they just did something illegal. Get over it. There are rules. Follow them. Believe it or not, police protect us.
From what I was told, if you give a cop attitude, he is going to make you wish you hadn't. :p |

Years ago I wanted to be a cop, so not the job for me though. I was young and foolish then. :)
I have had run-ins with good cops and cops. I guess you just gotta cross your fingers and hope you either don't run into any cops at all or that you get the nice ones. From my experiences though, most of them are nice to you if you don't have a chip on your shoulder with getting pulled over to begin with. I have been let off of 3 speeding tickets on the spot from extremely nice officers, I have also been give 3 of which were all deserved, but even then only one was a true to me. (he was the one that handed me my largest speeding ticket) |

There's a demand for police officers right now, hence the low standards.
I've dealt with a few police officers, most of them are nice and respectable, but there are a couple who I wished bad things upon them.
My friend is a security guard at a mall and he tells me how sometimes the police officers takes offender to a place with no camera and beat them if they were mouthing off the the cop earlier. It's pretty messed how they can get away with a lot of stuff, but yeah when it comes to more serious crimes they're the one protecting us. |
