| So, I should throw a fit if I'm paying for membership at a pool, but I can't swim at the kiddies only hour? |

Religion does not just refer to the color of someone's skin. In fact, it's not related at all.
What an ignorant comment. |

haha please! As if it matter what type of discrimination it is.
Fine.
I want time at my Uni gym for Male Catholics to work out only!
Don;t give me some bull excuse about its not part of my religion. Every one is free to practice what they believe in (i do). However, don't expect (i dont) society to adapt to you. |

| Women keep staring my junk, especially when I do jumping jacks in my moose-knuckle bicycle shorts. I also cannot exercise comfortably in their presence, I want separate gym time too. |

It's just stupid for you to say that they are being given preferential treatment based on the color of their skin. That's not what is happening at all.
I think Harvard could have appeased them without such an uproar by offering different times or locations for the women to work out. Less of an inconvenience, same result for the women. |

Its not a time for only Muslim women... ALL women are able to attend.
And I once again think its great that Harvard is trying to accommidate these women. It is unfortunate that they do have to close the gym down for men for 6 hours, but im sure if the policy proves to be popular Harvard will hopefully be able to create a facility for females only.
And society does adapt to religon. Two Fridays from now the whole country pretty much shuts down because its adapting to religion.
Would you complain if everyone started getting a day off because of a Muslim holiday? Probably not. Sometimes things are convenient for us and sometimes they are not. Thats life.
Im sure there are a lot of people of other religions that get really pissed off on Christmas Day when they cant get a cup of coffee. |

I have a similar problem. Doing bench press gives me a chub. Some women may take this the wrong way if they happen to catch a glimpse of the "tent". |
