luger is for like when you hit the lotto and wanna be baller ha hah a

it's not even that expensive, i just don't like how they serve food. cutting the steak before it gets to you takes away some of the moisture. plus, their selection of sides sucks ballz!!
Trancealot
did anyone mention Texas Roadhouse?

Old homestead is pretty good.

Yep, one of the best steaks I've ever had! Also, Quality Meats is a pretty good steak house.

HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD!

Outback is f'ing awesome. Kookaburra wings are my fav, but yes the sweet potato is pretty ridiculous as well. I like their steak, prob 7/10 if I had to rate it.

Oh, and whoever is compairing this to Morton's must not have seen the bill ;) The best steak I ever ad was at Bobby Van's, but that was on the glorious corporate Am Ex. I think Smith & Wollensky's is terrible and very overpriced, not to mention it's ridiculously loud in there.

We didn't end up going to outback last night after all this discussion!! I am now craving not only the sweet potato but also the sauce that comes with the cheese fries...what is that stuff!! It's like chipotle ranch or something??

I rarely eat steak so if money is not an issue my first choice is ruth chris, ate there recently and my steak was cooked perfectly. The shoestring fries were amazing and the lobster bisque was freakin awesome.
Stassi
Morton's has nothing on Lugers, Coopers, rothmans or smith and wolinskys.

yup, that's peter lugers for ya. you have 5 choices on the menu at that place: R, MR, M, MW, and W. not much in the way of options.

I agree 100% on the kookaburra wings. next to houlihans, they have the best wings.

avoid ruth chris....definitely overrated. the steak was over cooked, and the salads were horrible. However, the sides were bangin.

really? I heard good things about the place from ppl. I saw one when i visited San Diego this time. Was so curious to try it. I have heard from a friend or two though Ruth Chris is known for steaks being prepared with unique marinades/sauces that would be considered different than in other steakhouses. wondering if that statement holds up or not. **shruggs**
