Well I'd much rather have a mono outbreak [where its probably a simple sore throat for a couple days] than a fuking herpes outbreak.

You might not even have a blantantly obvious outbreak but can still pass it to someone else. Thats what sucks about it!
ooh and the symptoms for mono don't have to show till like 3 months AFTER u kiss someone. |

the dr gave me some extra strength motrin which i have to go and pick up now...they gave me a "quarters" slip for 48 hours too...so i have to pick that up and give to my supervisor. totally sucks ass, i get the next two nights off work, but i've gotta come in for like a week straight after that.

Mononucleosis usually isn't very serious, although the virus remains in your body for life. Most people have been exposed to the Epstein-Barr virus by the time they're 35 years old and have built up antibodies. They're immune and won't get mononucleosis again. Treatment mostly involves bed rest and getting adequate fluids.
Well i read that you are most infectious now and up to 18 months... I guess after that it just stays in your body. Not doing anything. |

Can't you die from it though, like if you don't know you have it. Something about leaving your spleen vulnerable. I remember any one who had during football season wasn't allowed to play for months cause getting hit would mess them up... |

and that's what the DR said too....to "protect my spleen" wtf how do you do that?!?!?!?!?!?! does this mean i can't ever have rough sex either? i mean, , wtf? |
