looks like El K Dee has this one under control!
good luck getting it working! it's really not hard as for software i personally use cool edit pro, but it really doesn't matter so long you get the job done.

Like a few mentioned..

Get a
-RCA - 1/8" jack
-Audacity (any version)

Plug in your RCA to the "line-in" (it will be BLUE) on your PC
Make sure you don't red line, adjust your level
You can output in either WAV or MP3(u can choose from a few different bit rates)

Don't use Audacity to export to MP3 -- export from Audacity to WAV, which is uncompressed. Then encode it into a high-quality MP3 with the LAME encoder. (of course, I'm anal about the "sound quality", probably to a fault.)

You can't use LAME on its own though, you need an app that uses it. If that sounds complicated, it really isn't.

DL LAME, and then DL RazorLame. When you install RazorLame, copy the LAME.exe file into the RazorLame installation directory, then tell RazorLame where that file is in its configurations. Set RazorLame to encode as VBR, and the encoding process is quite simple - just drag the WAV file into the RazorLame window, click Encode, and you're G2G.

If you need them, let me know and I'll zip and upload.
