End of discussion. |

| Trance is anyway... more to the point when is Goa trance (or classic) coming back! |

Trance has been died and buried a long time.
I hope it will never come back, unless it goes completely retro and by that i mean back to trance before 1996.
The trance that emerged after that year till 2001 was strong melodie based trance. Unfortunaly all melodies have been played out, so there isnt't much more the producers can create. |

Yes man, yes.
GOA is still there btw, it's just gone underground. |

if u listen to Ferry's set from the latest Trance Energy u can notice that this actually is trance, and i think the point why trance was SO popular in 2000 was that people just did not knew that there is actually much more music genres, don't u remember thousands of "Techno" tracks made by Tiesto and PvD, i still own a compiliation names "the best trance techno tracks" what is actually a joke itself ? ppl just heard all the time trance, trance, trance the word became popular, and didnt saw the difference between the other styles of EDM
and the biggest mistake is thinking that minimal and electro are the future, Sensation should really go back and spinn some trance records not this idiot house and electro |

i mean, in the days of the early 2000s and late 90s, trance was absolutely booming, it was saturated in the media, featured in films like transpotting and human traffic etc
do u reckon it'll make a comeback anytime soon? or even in the near future?
tbh i dont think it will, its kinda gone and past, but the nostalgia still gets me about trance music and listening to it now, i can relate to the 'being off ur on pills or whatnot' attitude towards it lol
its still great music none the less :gsmile: |
No it won't, no more so than any big genre won't come back. What kills me the most is that I missed the boom by like 6/7 years.
Though I wouldn't like to be pushing 30 at the moment, I'd give my left nut to have gone to some of the 99 essential mix tours, or seen sasha drop Heaven Scent Millenium NYE, etc.
I go to big events and clubs now and see pretty top line DJs, and I don't see fans, I see s who wouldn't know trance from tripe.
The only exception being James Zabiela and Sasha at the warehouse project in Manchester this December just past.
Crowd screaming at every new bassline/breakdown. Chanting "one more tune" over and over at 5.30am.
That was brilliant. |

Hasn't Goa always been underground??? Or a least just below the surface... |

No way.
Trance is dying slowly and it seems the top producers support its death (I assume I don't have to mention any names here).
Not to mention there are tons of small wannabe's that think only crossing a fade between two tracks make them DJ. |

| trance isnt dead, its always been here and always will be. its just progressed into something most of u dont like now a days, maybe u are all too old for trance now. |
