Ismael Rodriguez
Rizo, thanks for recording the set. I dont mind if the link is posted here for everyone. Can you link it? Thanks again. :)

Also, thanks for feedback and support from the TA's. I had a blast this night and seeing everyone there was that much more special. I finished off at about 135-136bpm for Yahel. I'll burn a copy of the mix once I'm done tracking it. :)

I hope to see more Psy events like these in the near future. :)

AP Live + drummer in LA clip +++ SFTA's and maybe Josh Allen = best summer event in the bay area

I havent seen other psy live acts but if its anything like IM, I rather have them do a DJ set. IM DJ set @ Love Fest was so much better than any of their live sets IMO.

Ish, if you make a cuefile for your mix let me know, I prefer tracked mixes, easier on the mp3 player. Thanks dood!

Astral Live isnt like IM. They simply play their tracks with live drums and have a midi to mess around with occasionally (but they dont add much at all really). IM as a DJ set play other artists tracks as well as their own tracks that they ususually dont do live such as psycho, cream ,etc. Astral's music isnt produced to be live, so therefore when they do have a drummer it purely adds another bassline. The music is still the same hard psy and not rock with psy or other way around.

The best experience I had with IM live was when they did a 90 minute LIVE set and then a 90 minute DJ set right after. They took requests for old IM tracks and those old tracks are few of my favorites by anyone (symphonatic,...). But yea, you can ask Josh about his opinions with AP live since i wasnt at that show but i heard great things.

when i played with astrix and astral projection in feb, i thought Astral (which followed astrix) was much better. they just have a sound that i like more. It was much more goa and deep where as astrix was much more pschedlic and harder, which had alot more going on. But either one of them are amazing

couldn't agree more, i was there too for astrix but i was more impressed with Astral Projection... they are truly a legend! what j0sh said is correct, deep goa bass and sick twisting goa melodies in background...

Waiting for Astrix to make a move. The we will have him. :D

I thought Yahel was damn good. Short mixing but solid tracks. He started @ 140 bpm then finished with 145bpm. His music really kept the crowd going throughout his 2 hours from start to finish.

Thanks for recording/hosting my set Gil.
