I been laggin on posting this weekend, had a hell of a two day weekend including a get together yesterday with Moms that pretty much took up most of my day.
I was suprised at the amount of people that were in house on Saturday for Yahel. Knowing we had strong compitition with Armin over at Ruby, including a Psytrance event the night before with CL and JOOF, I didnt know what to expect.
What happened was pretty crazy, at around 12:30 I watched as the room started filling up with people I havent seen at the club before. Including a crowd that was crazy for Yahel, chanting his name, and singing along with alot of his tracks. At several points during his set it felt like a mini concert. The crowd was eating up everything he threw down, including what I was hoping to hear him play, Voyage.
He also played Intelligent life, a bangin psytrance remix of New Orders- Blue Monday (a.k.a. How does it feel), Infected Mushrooms - Becoming Insane, and Butterfly.
Yahel for me played and was up to what I expected. Seemed like he catered his set to 1015, not dropping full on Psy but with the right element of it to give the crowd what they wanted. After his set I got the chance to chat with him a bit, and asked him what he thought of the club. He is definitely looking forward to returing and says he loves 1015. Super Friendly and open to chatting it up. He stuck around for a bit as Taj opened his closing set, bangin his head to that new Carte Blanche Remix.
Another autograph to add to my wall collection here and a photo with one of the great Djs of our time.
Lynn recorded video, So Ill go through it and edit it along with the 30 minutes of JOOF I got previously from the night before.

Armin at RS made no dent at all on this night with Yahel at 1015. I can only imagine if folks didnt go to Ruby skye, how much many more people would've been at 1015. The crowd he brought was awsome and vibe was stellar!!
His music definately kept people going nuts and he catered to the crowd and kept the night flowing!! Great job Yahel!!
He definately wants to come back and he would actually plan to organize a great crowd to bring to 1015. I'm thinking many more Israeli folks here locally. :)
I took him sightseeing as well before the show and had some lunch at the Cliff House restaraunt. Such a fun guy to chat with and very down to earth. I would highly recommend bringing him back for the LOVEFEST.
Great seeing alot of the TA's who came out to 1015. You guys were having a blast!!
Taj brought it big time as well and he kept the energy going strong!! Taj, that was ACE!

it was indeed a blast! an impressive turn out, but still had a friendly local love vibe to it. between this and infected mushrooms, it is the local israelis helping to bring out some great energy. and music worked out well too... we could have gone overboard with all the psy this weekend, but between ish opening, and yahel's style with some of the vocal tracks, and taj finishing it was a pleasant progression/variety/mix while still maintaining the energy.
and yes tommy, wasted once again, surprise surprise! but that's why i save my drinking for 1015 saturdays... only place that can handle my attention span. i think i was sporting jeremy's goggles half the night! and fun hanging out with JB and iris too. oh, and rey, where were you and mari? as long as not at AVB, you're forgiven. |

I asked him if he could bring his live set down here and he said pretty much up to you guys and if you think the crowd will make up for the costs. In Israel he has a guitarist (who he also produces with for the new cd to be released end of summer), as well as the singer and sometimes i beleive he said drummer - forgot. Thing is, with the singer, the tracks get more vocal and from his recent cd's which i like the music but not the vocals. Would be cool to just have a drummer and guitarist with yahel though.
What about Astral Projection - any chance of them coming this summer? |

i was at home, didn't go anywhere, mari and me got too tired from night before. wat happen was i didnt get any sleep cause i had to go to japanese class at 8am saturday morning, didn't sleep until 3 pm then woke up it was 10 pm saturday night already... the well oil psy machined had to rest... :( seems like i missed out though... |

First off, friday was fun @ ruby, but saturday, well...I LOVE 1015!!! :D :D :D
It was cool to see the turnout especially with AVB being in town. We had a great time hanging out with 2tall, tommy, and jeremy most of the evening...good company and funny as hell when the alcohol is flowing...and as always T's drinks hit the spot :D The night got started off JUST RIGHT. Ish did what he has always done when we see him, take us on a trip and cure our psy craving :) Track after track was spot on and we just wanted more...thus the text we sent you Ish :P Threre were a couple of tracks towards the end of your set that got us really going, hope they recorded the set, because for sure we will be listening to it till the next time we can catch you spin at 1015...once again, GREAT opening set.
As for Yahel, I just didn't get it :conf: ...nice guy for sure :D ...but I wasn't feelin' the set.
Went upstairs to catch Vahid during his set knowing that it was going to be shorter than usual. Vahid's a character, and he spins some great beats and it was a welcomed change which again, we enjoyed...good job. Then we returned downstairs, and as always Taj reeled us back in. Bangin' it out the way he has done countless times when we have caught him spin. Nothing I can say here that each of you who get to catch Taj on a cosistent basis already know. All in all, another great weekend, and we are looking forward to the next time...till then much luv to all the TA's that we got to see, talk with, and hang with :D |

we need to see Astral Projection in the bay area... except they are really hard... might scare off some people... it's not j00f hard.. it's different... |

There may be a chance Astral Projection will be coming. With both element-y and Mecca82 wanting to see them, Im sure that if we had a wider audience wanting... this would warrant us to bring em...
In other words... If you wanna see Astral Projection, speak up! Psy is most definitely bangin, and fits more than one or two elements of the club in many ways...
1015 and San Francisco have been bitten by the Psytrance gods like JOOF and Yahel... I say... create a post and see what happens.
