So yeah.... we are close when he's responsible and acts mature but I dunno what to do anymore. I think he needs an intervention lol.
I think we been talking alot more recently because my brother hasn't gotten any better... and also maybe cuz we are a good 3 hour plane ride away from each other.
That's why I wanted to see how far away some of your parents were. :) |

lol I LIVE with my parents and I still usually talk to each of them every day on the phone as well just to arrange who's gonna buy the milk or when everyone is gonna be home, etc :wtf: :wtf:
I call my grandma about 4 times a week and try to see her once a week.
I think it's extremely attractive when men love and respect their parents and talk to them a lot.... there are exceptions/circumstances of course... but I guess I love the mama's boys :p |

| My dad got text messaging like 3 months ago and now he texts me non-stop with the dumbest all the time. But my parents normally just call me every weekend and MAYBE once during the week. |

my dad is one of my best friends and me and my mom are close. Talk to each of them at least once a week and make at lest one trip a month out to see them in the burbs of Philly.
my family > me |

I talk to my Mom maybe once or twice a year. It's a shame, but she keeps stirring drama regarding her divorce (which began 12 years ago) and forcing us to chose sides or giving us about interacting with Dad, I can't take that headache anymore. So, until I can talk to her without feeling like , I don't.
I almost never talk to my dad on the phone; only when he needs a quick answer. We chat all the time over AIM though. |

My mom, who is turning 60 this year, god bless her, is of different generation then I and we I just don’t have anything I can relate to her about. I am a bit of a hard arse but I am a good soul none the less, so I have morals & respect for everybody just about on the same level no matter whether a friend, brother, parents or simply my relatives. Therefore half my life, I am 31 years old, my mother and have had a rocky road. To bring some examples to you guys, if only it will help your own relationships, I have told my mother on occasion point blank that her and I have nothing incoming going for us except that she gave birth to me & that what happens in my life these days is just none of her business because morally, I have left the nest, and she has no say over anythig in my life unless I ask for her advise. (Which I never do.. I don’t know about you guys) Thus I told her that there is just a point that you are not included in my personal life and its her issue if it bothers her and to reevaluate your own self because I have done in my place and have no issues on the situation besides that she doesn't understand what I try to relate to her in order for her to understand my behavior toward her. Basically, coming from above stated reasons, she at least stopped getting angry at me if she asks me a question and I simply ignore to bother to answer her because my silence to a subject simply means she is crossing my personal boundary. Otherwise, my wife even knows subjects I refuse to discuss with my mother and she can answer in my place on the subjects either but otherwise they are good friends and talk about whatever they choose but conversation my end is just forbidden by me for wife to get into with my mother.
This is just who I am its my stand because on different occasion in my life where sharing with my mother was waste of time because her advise to me in every case would be based completely unreal and useless so that’s where it ended in respect to our relationship as mother and I as son. I been a grown person half my life I chose to make my own decisions and mistakes in life.
Enough on that. I do miss my dad who passed away 8 years ago who was the same hard arse like me but we understood each other and respected each others space. :( |

| I love my parents to death. We talk 5-6 times a week. Usually just a good morning when I go to get my brekfast at work. I feel lucky to be as close as I am to them. :) |
