dude I dont argue unless people are rude, dont listen or are just plain out retarded. You arent one of those people.
I dont see how I am wrong on how he shouldnt be talking about the family and the victim in the way he was especially when he doesnt know them. As for the working people there I am sure they can get another job in the bar industry, its a revolving door.
As for zone and what they did and how they operated, come on dude, I loved the zone too but what was going on in there was illegal and should have been handled better by the club. Maybe I am a lil emotional about the subject but I always converse with my head on straight on a non biast look, logic.
They found 1,000 pills behind the bar. I liked and got along with some of the staff there and the music!!! Out of this world.
All I am saying is that people need to stop glorifying this place as the end all and be all especially putting down the death of another HUMAN BEING. All the supporters of the zone who are putting down the death of this guy and how his family are reacting are acting like savage animals. Its a club people, you dont like it go make a club of your own, the fact is that the zone was doing sketchy that was illegal. Thats all I said. |

What would you say then? All I am saying is its not the most glamourous job and something you probably wouldnt gloat to your kids about especially if they saw your work got raided on the news.
Would you tell the job your worked at that you worked there? |

just to clarify your point here, you don't think the DJ's have any kind of unique skill? |
You know thats not what I meant; I don't know why you bothered posting this besides the fact that you wanted to be a smart-ass. I was referring to the 'full time' CZ employees.
Yeah some DJs, like yourself, would lose their 2-hour set once a week but its not like they are highly dependant on that income. Unless CZ pays $500 for a 2 hour set, which I doubt is the case.
and plus, all of the CZ DJs are highly skilled and popular in the city of Toronto and could probably get a weekly gig at a lot of the Richmond clubs to replace the lost income...
BTW, don't most DJs have day-jobs? |

probably all of them, unless they're "contract" workers and invoice for work performed.
DJs there have to sign an invoice in order to get paid. |
Do they get a T4 though? Signing an invoice just ensures you can't come back and say you didn't get paid. Doesn't say anything about taxes. |

I know enough to know what the I'm talking about, unlike a lot of stupid ing people on here. U might not know who I am, but I knew who Andy was, as did my friends. When I found out about the first raid the first thing my friends told me was, "Remember Andy?" so I know what the I'm talking about
It's unfortunate but what's happening because of it is pissing me the off. The people who lost credibility are the cops, and yes, this kids mother and sister, who are lying about the entire situation. They're twisting the details, leaving out important information, and plain-old making up to push their agenda forward.
This is what frustrates me the most. I know for a fact that the cops are going to keep coming back over and over again until zone closes its doors. And then they're gonna go through every other club in the city with a reputation, INCLUDING GUV, until the scene is nothing like it was. Everything that the true clubbers/ravers/scenesters (NOT INTERNET FORUM FANATICS) know and love about the Toronto scene is being disrupted.
So back to my point, all the people on here who speculate on they don't even know. Go ing talk about Britney Spears! |
Just because you and your friends know who he was doesnt mean you know what happened and what the parents know. It was the disrespect to him and the family that was uncalled for.
I understand the frustration, I have been in the scene long enough as well and woudlnt want it to change and hope they dont go raiding all the other clubs. However I dont know many other places that operate the way zone did. That is my point here.
Maybe there needs to be a disruption, heavy drugs are becoming more prevelant and being used more, why cant people just go to enjoy the music for the music? I am no angel when it comes to that, but I control it and dont need to be super ed to have the best time. Its the retards that get all super ed up that are wrecking the scene and giving it a bad name. The people who tell everyone how ed they really are and gloat about the drugs they are on or use. |

I don't know all about you or what you meant hahah How was I supposed to know that you weren't making a comment about the DJ's as well? The DJ's and them being considered "staff" have been brought up numerous times in this thread, go back and ing read through it if you think I'm losing my mind in my assumption.

| Personally, I think the increased attention on the scene is worthwhile. Drugs were being used far too openly, people assuming no harm, no foul and just using whenever and wherever they pleased. Many people count on the fact that they can purchase at the club and do so regularly, which encourages clubs to have dealers or people to carry more than they would otherwise. I know of people who regularly bought in bulk and often carried enough to supply everyone, and I hope that changes now. The drugs are never going to go away, but hopefully things can be a little more discreet....and the zone certainly does not fit the definition of discretion, IMO. |

Well then why don't you enlighten me with your great knowlege?
If this is really a huge blow to the DJs by losing their CZ set then back it up with facts. |

Jon gimmie a break the zone comparison to the pepsi forum? You are really reaching here, I didnt see what goes on in the zone go on in Montreal. If you are implying the drugs made me have a good time? Ha I was barely on anything I was in front the whole time enjoying the show they put on.
Listen, I am not trying to fight with you Jon but seriously stop picking on the little things and see the BIG picture.

As for the sound guy I am sure there are lots of positions out there, I think its Tim right? He works Guvy main room. I didnt say ashamed, but I wouldnt gloat nor would I be proud when that the place I worked in was a drug haven, if my kids were watching of course, sets a bad example, if we are talking about the kids of course. Like I said nit picking. |
